NIGHT FLIGHT- THE SPIRIT OF ROCKET (90 minutes)
Rocket, so called because it takes you higher, is the dynamic vinyasa system with a rebel spirit. It was developed by Larry Schultz in the 1980s, borne out of traditional Ashtanga, but breaking the hierarchy of postures in an attempt to make the variety of the rich practice accessible to everyBODY. The room breaths and moves together as one, connected by the tempo of the specially mixed music. It doesn’t matter whether you are in a handstand, funky arm-balance or kicking back in child’s pose, as long as you’re sync’d in with your breath, you’re on the Rocket. Take it up, take it down, hold tight, it’s flight night.

Based on Larry Schultz’s Rocket 2 sequence which brings in all the vitalising backbends of ashtanga’s second series and more, this full flow practice will keep you charged-up all day. Firing the shakti energy up through Sushumna, we again synchronize every movement to the rhythm of the music and the breath. As the flow builds, it warms the body and prepares the mind to progress through the dynamic vinyasa and find stillness within. Prepare to sweat, fly and get high as we move the spine in dedication to the divine.
